Ferguson Chat Part II

This year marks the inaugural Tweed Stampede, part of the Dodge Rodeo Tour. The three-day event, which includes a combination of live country music and pro bull riding, will feature headlining acts Jesse Farrell and Aaron Pritchett, as well as local country music acts, Ferguson says.

With so many country festivals taking place, the competition between them and the major rock festivals — BigMusicFest, Empire Rockfest — for consumer dollars is steep.

“I think it’s become an increasingly competitive market,” Ferguson says of the Quinte region.”There are only so many entertainment dollars in the market, so it starts to get to the point where acts are being unveiled and tickets are going on sale earlier to try to get that dollar.”

More to come…
